Hi,
I am going to India with Lufthansa via Frankfurt. Would I need
any transit visa or any other documents which I would need to show in Frankfurt?

Indians need transit visa here http://www.germany-info.org/relaunch/info/consular_services/visa/country...
Hi,
Yes, you need a transit visa if you are on H1B and staying in US. If you are in bay area then you need to go to German embassy in San Francisco. Parking is a slight issue and the window for requesting visa is also short (I guess from 9am to 11am). All the info is on the web.
Hope this helps.
Hi,
One of my friend inquired about this and he got the following response.
Indian nationals unfortunately require a transit visa for Germany, but passengers, who are holding a valid EU, US or CAN visa and who are transiting through Frankfurt airport without leaving the international transit area, will be issued a visa upon arrival by the competent Authorities there.
I hope this regulation meets your requirements and does not cause delay or further obstacles to your trip via Frankfurt airport.
Wishing you a safe journey.
Kind regards

Hope this will help you
Hi,
I know that UK requires a transit visa for Indian citizens, if
He/She is not having a valid visa or Physican Permanant Resident
card(GC). Persons Having AP or GC stamping in passport are also
required to take transit visa if travelling through UK.
Germany looks like more restrictive! Indian citizens that are
not US GC holders require transit visa, even if you are not
getting out of airport.
